Ankara Kimono African Wax-Print Fabric Size Medium UK 12-14

Handcrafted by me. African print Kimono made from fabric also known as wax print or Ankara. Dropped shoulders. Unlined.

Made from easy-care, soft cotton/polyester fabric that requires little or no ironing (see fabric care instructions below). The fabric has been pre-washed before making into this beautiful kimono. The jacket includes enclosed French seams for additional comfort and a lovely neat finish inside. The last two photographs show the kimono inside out with a close-up shot of the French seam.

This style of kimono will flatter any body type. I love wearing mine with simple jeans and T-shirt but it will also look great worn formally with evening wear or with cropped trousers and boots for a more edgy look. In fact, it's the perfect way to add a touch of flamboyance to any outfit; the style options are endless! I guarantee you'll get lots of compliments when wearing yours!

NOTE: The kimono listed for sale here is shown in the photographs. However, the one worn in the video is not; it's the same fabric and style but the pattern placement differs slightly.

SIZE: This kimono is designed to fit very loosely. Recommend suitable for size medium (UK 12-14). The model in the video is 5' 4" tall and size UK 12.

MEASUREMENTS: The measurements provided are of the actual garment, laid flat, with side seams straight. You should add several cm/inches to your own measurements for ease of movement and a comfortable fit. Alternatively, measure something similar in your wardrobe that fits you well and compare to the measurements noted below.

KIMONO MEASURES approx (laid flat):
Width underarm to underarm 63.5 cm (25 ins)
Centre-back length (excluding collar) 62 cm (24.75 ins)
Centre-back length (including collar) 68.5 cm (27 ins)
Sleeve length (measured from dropped shoulder seam) 27 cm (10.5 ins)

FABRIC CARE:
Gentle wash inside out at 30°C.
Do NOT wring, rub or twist.
Do NOT tumble dry.
Do NOT dry clean.

Air-dry on coat hanger (avoid wire coat hangers which can damage clothes).
Wash light and dark colours separately.
Iron inside out on low temperature.
